Liberty owes about 15- million dollars to creditors who bought bonds the school issued in the 19-80's.
Lawyers representing the bondholders finished appraising the campus last week.
They had threatened to foreclose on the property unless Liberty made its annual interest payment on the debt.
The Reverend Jerry Falwell says the school still has the financial backing to offer bondholders half the value of their bonds.
