Franklin's claims aren't new. They were excluded from Beard's trial as hearsay.
But now Franklin says he's willing to testify, and state police have indicated they will take a fresh look at the evidence.

The 30 year old man was put to death by lethal injection at the Greensville Correctional Center.
Beaver pled guilty to shooting Trooper Leo Whitt during a routine traffic stop in Prince George County.

A look at the numbers shows South Carolina has put six to death this year.
Virginia has executed five if you include Gregory Beaver.
But Virginia has four more likely to go, and South Carolina has none.
Overall, since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976, Texas has set the pace with 107.
Florida's number two with 37, and Virginia's a close third with 34, including Beaver.
By the end of the year, Florida may execute two more men -- and Virginia four more.
The American Civil Liberties Union worries the sped-up process puts stress on the U.S. Surpeme Court.

News 7 Sports has learned that Richlands head football coach Dennis Vaught is the subject of an internal investigation ordered by Tazewell County School superintendent Woodrow Mullins.
At question, is whether or not Vaught ordered his players to injure Grundy star quarterback, Jason Copenhaver and lineman Luke Owens during their October 4th game.
Copenhaver suffered a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament in his RIGHT knee in the game.
Attorney Ronald King, who represents both players forwarded the allegations to Mullins, but at this time says no litigation against the coach is planned.
The Tazewell school board meets next Monday, December 9th, no word on whether any action will be taken at that time.

The 6 foot 4, 200 pound QB was seriously considering Virginia, which is than than a hour from Woodberry Forest. He visited UVa during pre season practice this year where the prep star spent some time with Cavalier head coach George Welsh.
Olmstead, who threw for 4 thousand, 546 yards during his time at Woodberry, chose Florida over Virginia and Tennessee.
The fact that Aaron Brooks returns for UVa next year as a junior may have had something to do with Olmstead's decision.
