Beaver's execution is the first of five on Virginia's calendar this month.
It is UNlikely that a court or the Governor will intervene in any of the cases.
Ellen Qualls reports that would give Virginia the dubious distinction of "speediest executioner" this year in the western world.

A look at the numbers shows South Carolina has put six to death this year.
Virginia has executed five if you include Gregory Beaver.
But Virginia has four more likely to go, and South Carolina has none.
Overall, since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976, Texas has set the pace with 107.
Florida's number two with 37, and Virginia's a close third with 34, including Beaver.
By the end of the year, Florida may execute two more men -- and Virginia four more.
The American Civil Liberties Union worries the sped-up process puts stress on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The pace of executions in Virginia is partly due to changes in state and federal laws.
Judges are also dispatching with appeals quickly.
But Governor Allen says simply "judgment day has come."

((
An uneasy commute was overseen by police and army patrols, placed on special duty throughout the city.
The explosion last night ripped through a crowded Paris commuter train at the height of evening rush hour, minutes after 6 PM, as the train was pulling into a busy station on the left bank.
Witnesses describe a strong blast followed by columns of overpowering black smoke and the smell of gunpowder. The blast tore open the doors of the rail car, scattering wounded passengers over the platform.
It was a commuter train, not the Paris underground, and officials believe the fact that it was above ground at the time of the blast may have lessened the injuries and damage.
Terrorism experts have little doubt the explosion was caused by a bomb -- a bomb they believe was made from a 30-pound gas canister filled with nails.
That is the same type of device used in a series of similar terrorist attacks in Paris last year.
Already, there are an additional eighteen hundred specialist police forces and army troops in the streets of Paris this morning, in addition to conducting patrols around monuments and train stations, they're stopping people and conducting random ID checks. VM, CBSN, Paris.))
