A highway worker found Schulterbrandt's body yesterday, dumped along Route
617 in northwestern Amherst County.
He'd been shot once in the head, and police believe his body had been there
for several days.
Schulterbrandt was from the Bronx, New York.. the car he was driving was
discovered in Lynchburg Tuesday, the front passenger seat stained with blood.
Investigators from across central Virginia have been called in to work the
case.

Salem Rec Coach Keith Gaines has been charged with 3 counts of assault.

now a few of his players say Gaines whipped them with a belt.
Gaines calls the allegations "ridiculous"... adding that the father of one

diabetes.

They say when the pair is defective, they appear to cause what's called
maturity-onset diabetes of the young, or "mody"-- diabetes that usually appears

However, they also say that at least one more un-known gene is involved.

Doctors in San Francisco are recommending that all patients with bad
hearts receive beta-blockers as part of their post-surgical treatment.
They say the heart-slowing medicine cut the risk of heart attack after an
operation by half.
Heart attacks are a common complication of surgery, especially among those
