A Pittsylvania County teenager died this morning when fire consumed the mobile home he shared with his parents.

Authorities discovered the body of 17- year old Alexander Ferrell in a back bedroom.
The family's mobile home was located on Beaver Street, off Route 360- in the Blairs community.
Sheriff's officials say Ferrell's father had already left for work when his mother noticed smoke.
Authorities believe an electrical short may have sparked the fire.
An autopsy will be done in Roanoke.

Andersen had spotted four teenagers on Route 311 in New Castle one Saturday night last Summer.
He says they were driving erratically.
He followed them for some distance, pulled them over and got out of his truck with gun in his hand.
He serves as a medical examiner on occasion, but he never claimed to be a policeman.
By the time it got to court today, Andersen offered to apologize if the juvenile driver would drop the brandishing charge and a claim that Anderson had pretended to be a police officer.

A three-year-old burglary in Blacksburg may be solved with the arrrest of a woman in Florida.
In 1993, Monica Frydrych (FREE-drick) allegedly stole more than 125-thousand dollars worth of jewelry and silver from a home in Blacksburg.
Police connected that break-in and several others to gypsies from New York.
Frydrych has been a suspect ever since.
Last month police in Palm Beach arrested her on suspicion of burglary there. She's awaiting extradition to Virginia.
