And if the Eagles can soar to the occasion they will win the school's first state championship since 1982.
And Roy Stanley says defense may be the key to the Eagles beating Chantilly and bringing the Group AAA Division Six State championship back to Southside.

The Bees have a history of spacing out their state championship appearances.

It's still hard for the emotionally charged Alderman to accept the fact that his team ran out of gas on that December afternoon.
But Saturday he hopes to get his redemption through Mark Lineburg, who was just three years old when Alderman led Radford to back to back state titles in 1971 & 723.
Alderman's coach at Radford was of course Mark' Father, Norm. But despite what you might think, the elder LIneburg and Alderman have been keeping their mouths shut this week. ((NORM LINEBURG/MARK'S FATHER:)) ((MARK LINEBURG/BROOKVILLE HEAD COACH:))
