Three people were hospitalized.

Jennifer Jolin told News 7 her application was accepted and she plans to

touring V-M-I last month.
She also applied to James Madison and The University of Virginia but decided
V-M-I would help her reach he goals.

The three people were treated and released from the hospital.
Authorities are offering close to four thousand dollars to someone who will
step forward with information about the robbery of a Henry County family and
their two children.

The Fernandez family was robbed at gunpoint inside their Axton home on Route
614, last month.
The Henry County Sheriff's Department has little to go on.
The robber was wearing a ski mask when he forced his way in, tied the
family up and placed pillow cases over their heads.
After searching the residence, the suspect forced Mrs. Fernandez to empty
the safe at the couple's convenience store-- a couple of miles away.
Nearly three- thousand dollars is being offered for information.

The incident has alarmed residents in the Axton community.
The Sheriff's department recently met with residents to offer tips about
setting up a neighborhood watch program.
One person died when a small plane crashed into a grocery store in New

slammed into the roof of a small market on main street in Port Norris.
The pilot was killed, he hasn't been identified.
No one else was in the plane.
A woman inside the store was slightly injured by debris.

They don't know where the plane was going, or what caused it to crash.
The F-A-A is investigating.
Heavy rain is causing big trouble in the Northwest tonight.
In Oregon, major flooding closed roads in the Medford area.
Mudslides and fallen trees are also causing problems on some highways.
Emergency workers are telling residents in low lying areas to protect
themselves, but they haven't ordered any evacuations.
The rain will continue through the night, more flooding is expected

The Virginia School Boards Association says no.
And now it's suing the board.
The suit is about school board members who take classes to help them serve

In the past, LOCAL school boards decided whether or not to pay for those

Brigadier General Gabriel Wharton built it in 1870 on land obtained from is
father-in-law, Radford's founder.
Wharton was instrumental in the Radford's early industrial development.

Kollmorgen donated the property and the city of Radford is footing the bill
for the renovations.
The Radford Heritage Foundation will oversee the project.
One of the first jobs is repairing the roof, then the work moves inside
where many of the original fixtures still remain.
The foundation wants the house restored to its original state, so it will be
some time before the doors are opened to tourists.

Graduates of West Point are communicating with fellow almuni by letting
their fingers do the walking on their computer keyboards.
The West Point Organization Network offers home pages for many of the
graduates, information for parents of cadets and even a chat line.
Having graduates on-line helps the West Point Society keep in close contact
with other alumni.
But members say the West Point Forum allows alumni to voice their views on
controversial military issues.

Virginia Tech Orange Bowl merchandise isn't in yet, but Chrisley says a
shipment should be in at the end of the week.
Most marathons are 26 miles long, but one began today that is a bit longer.
Robert Garside is running a 20 thousand mile marathon... he wants to run all
the way around the world.
He'll cross 5 continents, run through 53 countries, and expects to wear out
50 pair of running shoes.
He also wants to raise 2 million dollars for the environmental group
His first goal... reaching his mother's house in Slovakia in time for his
birthday on January 6.
