The problem is, that information was never given to Soering's defense
counsel, who might have used it to his advantage at trial.

this year.
Stout was put to death last night for the 19-87 murder and robbery of a
Staunton shopkeeper.
In a final statement, Stout apologized to the family of victim Jacqueline

About a dozen protesters waited outside the Greensville Correctional Center
as the execution was carried out.

Vannatter was the one who carried the blood vial from police headquarters to
Simpson's house the day after the murders...
And defense suggests that blood could have been taken from the unsealed
envelope and planted at Simpson's estate to make it seem the former football
hero was the murderer.

faces take the stand.
Among them police technician Andrea Mazolla...who acknowledged she was a
rookie during the Simpson case...that it was only her third crime scene

knit cap and a bloody glove found at the crime scene.
Mazolla was called by the defense in an effort to show that sloppy police work
may have tainted the evidence against Simpson.
