OUT Q=GUNNED DOWN LAST NIGHT
Good Evening, You're watching NEWS-7 Primetime on WEFC, I'm Connie Stevens.
Friends say 17-year old Antwan Gray was apparently going about his normal
routine last night around seven.
He was standing on the sidewalk of the 24-hundred block of Centre Avenue,
hoping to meet up with some of his friends.
That's when the gunfire erupted.
Gray was shot more than once... and when police got to the scene, they found
him lying in the middle of the street... already dead.
This afternoon a group of his friends placed a rose-clad wreath at the crime
scene... and spray painted his name on the adjacent walls.
They said he had no enemies.

A Roanoke jury sided with W-S-L-S Television tonight, in the 10-million
dollar libel case brought by the owner of a dog grooming and boarding
establishment called Puppyland.
The owner of the business sued Channel 10 after the station ran a series of
reports accusing Chris Benson of abusing people's pets.
The station apparently satisfied the jury that the stories were
substantially true and NOT libelous.
Channel 10's General Manager told reporters that the verdict was a victory
for media in general.
