Friends say 17-year old Antwan Gray was apparently going about his normal routine last night around seven.
He was standing on the sidewalk of the 24-hundred block of Centre Avenue, hoping to meet up with some of his friends.
That's when the gunfire erupted.

A Roanoke jury sided with W-S-L-S Television tonight, in the 10-million dollar libel case brought by the owner of a dog grooming and boarding establishment called Puppyland.

The station apparently satisfied the jury that the stories were substantially true and NOT libelous.

Airline executives are getting a pat on the back from the Clinton Administration-- with the announcement today that the industry will put smoke detectors in the cargo holds of commercial planes.

A new drug to help smokers quit could be getting government approval.
One thing that sets this drug apart from others: It doesn't contain nicotine.
It's an anti-depressant currently sold under the name "Wellbutrin."
A federal panel is recommending the F-D-A approve it for use by smokers.
The drug appears to reduce their desire for tobacco, sometimes even making cigarettes taste bad to smokers.

Researchers found that when the person suffered a heart attack while on the patch, the patch was not the cause.

Thanks to the actions of head football coach Bill Stewart, the length of hair for incoming coed cadets is no longer the hot topic of conversation at VMI.
In a shocking move, the popular head coach resigned his post for unspecified personal reasons.

Stewart took over the VMI program on December 31st of 1993 after Jim Shuck abruptly left the institution.
In his three years as head coach, VMI produced 8 wins and 25 losses.

VMI officials would not elaborate on his departure tonight, and several sources confirmed that Stewart already has left Lexington.
