Roanoke police continue to search for answers in last night's fatal shooting
in Northwest Roanoke.
17- year- old Antwan Gray was shot and killed in the 24- hundred block of

This was the scene last night at the Lansdowne Housing Complex.
Gray... who had apparently been standing on the sidewalk... was gunned down.
Once police got to the scene, they found more than a hundred people
outside... staring in disbelief at his body.
This afternoon another crowd gathered at that same spot, but to remember
their fallen friend... and talk about the good times they shared with him.

some channel 10 news reports defamed the owner of a dog grooming and boarding
establishment, called "Puppyland."

The jury has had the case for about three quarters of an hour now.
Covington's Edgemont Primary School will remain closed tomorrow, as repair
crews work on a leaking boiler.
School Superintendent Tommy Robertson says when the leak was discovered
yesterday, students and teachers were removed from rooms located near the
boiler as a precaution against exposure to potentially harmful carbon monoxide.
Robertson says the parents of three students later took them to
an the hospital, where they were treated and released.
Former teacher and amateur golf champion Penny Stallins apologized today
for what she described as her "dirty little secret."
Stallins was in a Salem courtroom to be sentenced for drug possession.
The former Salem phys- ed teacher said she was sorry for the drug use that
damaged her reputation, and embarrassed her family and friends.

A five thousand dollar grant is paying Amherst deputies overtime to patrol
the county's churches in the late evening hours.

Slam Duncan is doing his second Bikes or Bust Broadcast, from a trailer held

The station collected close to 700 bikes last year.
