The father of a female cadet at The Citadel says his daughter has been "living in terror" at the formerly all-male military academy.
Harvey Messer says his daughter was one of two cadets who had flammable liquid poured on her and her clothes set on fire.
He also says his daughter, Kim, has been shoved against a wall with a rifle butt in her back and struck in the head.
Messer is now questioning whether is daughter will return to the South Carolina school after the Christmas break.

The deal announced Sunday will need the approval of federal regulators.
But when completed, the resulting company, to be known as Boeing is expected to staff almost 200-thousand and operate in 27 states.

But McDonnell Douglas has not had the same luck, once the nation's largest defensg contractor...it lost its bid with the pentagon for the same project.
And some have voiced concerns about possible layoffs. But others see this deal as a move in the right direction.

Most Norfolk Southern clerks offered early retirement will keep working on the railroad.
Just nine of 400 workers accepted the deal, which has a 35-thousand dollar gross payment.
The union representing CFW directory assistance workers in Clifton Forge has filed federal charges against the company, accusing it of deliberately trying to make the negotiations fail.
CFW calls the charges frivolous, saying at one point the union delayed the bargaining for three months.
The rapid expansion of First Citizens in Virginia is benefitting Roanoke.
The North Carolina based bank will put a credit card service center near the airport, creating about 45 new jobs.
A Southside furniture company has won a large contract with one of the country's leading hotel chains.
American of Martinsville has signed an agreement to supply all of the wood furniture for Marriott International.
Checking the financial markets for the week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 77 points, while Nasdaq finished down about 3 points.

Last week, Sullivan earned his P-G-A tour card after his performance in the qualifying tournament in Santa Barbara, California.
And today the folks in the valley threw a little celebration for the man who will represent the Roanoke Valley on the Pro tour.
Sullivan's First tournament will be next month at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
