A Floyd County man was killed in early morning accident yesterday.
Police say 37- year- old Terry Amos Peters of Check was driving down route 2-21 just north of route 3-42 in Floyd County, when he lost control of his pick-up truck.
Peters apparently ran off the right side of the road, over-corrected then crossed both lanes and struck an embankment.
Peters was thrown from the truck and police say he died at the scene.

An elderly motorist took a wrong turn yesterday and ended up in someone else's garage.

Police say 84- year- old Mabel Johnson Overstreet was traveling west on Harvest Lane when she failed to make a sharp left turn on to Garstland Drive.
Overstreet ran through a fence, off a three foot wall and into a garage.
It was the home of the Plummer family.

The drive ends in just a few hours, but at this point the bike count stands at one-thousand 44.
A family crisis motivated one local woman to help out.
Sheila (O-ben-Chain) decided to give bicycles to underprivileged children after her grandfather became gravely ill.

Last month Obenchain did not know if her grandfather, Reginald Bohon
(BO-hon), would live to see Christmas.

During this holiday season she's celebrating his health by giving to others.
She set a goal of raising money to buy 20 bikes.
But in four days she raised over two thousand dollars and bought 55 bikes.
