Two weeks before the biggest football game in Virginia Tech history, two
more players are off the team.
Tech will travel to the Orange Bowl without starting fullback Brian Edmonds,
and receiver James Crawford.
Yesterday Blacksburg police charged the players with the rape and attempted
sodomy of a 19 year- old student.
Tech officials tonight said the alleged criminal activity reflects poorly on
the integrity of the athletic programs and the university, and apologized to
fans, students and the community.

she had consented to sex.
She denies the players' accusations that she demanded hush money, and says

Meanwhile the players have now filed formal complaints with Blacksburg
police, requesting an investigation into THEIR claims.
