Lawyers for two Virginia Tech football players charged with rape say some members of the women's track team may help their case.
But today one of those athletes gave News-7 information which backs up the story of the ALLEGED VICTIM.
Gena Franklin is a freshman sprinter.
She says she and five other track team members attended a party Friday night at Brian Edmonds' and James Crawford's apartment.
She says when the party broke up, her group was the last to leave, at about one-thirty Saturday morning.
Franklin says the alleged rape victim was the only person left, along with Crawford and Edmonds.
That matches the alleged victim's story, who told News-7 yesterday it was around one-thirty when the alleged rape took place.
Yesterday Crawford and Edmonds were suspended from the football team, just hours after they filed a 32 million dollar lawsuit accusing THEIR ACCUSER of slander and extortion.

So who needs a second shot?
Only those people who received the recalled vaccine and are at risk for complications from the flu - like the elderly or those with chronic heart and lung diseases.
Contact your health care provider to find out what vaccine you received.
Only 5-7% of all people who got a flu shot got that particular vaccine anyway. wipe wipe wipe
The latest studies show obesity drugs-- like redux-- do help some people lose weight....and keep it off.
But researchers note obesity is a chronic disease so the medication would likely need to be continued for years.
The problem?
There are few studies on how safe and effective these drugs are over the long run.
The study concludes that outline use of these drugs shouldn't be recommended just yet and short term use is definitely a poor idea.
Those who do benefit from taking the drugs are those who have other health problems like diabetes or hypertension. wipe wipe wipe wipe
And for women with early breast cancer-- researchers say patients may benefit from taking the drug "tamoxifen" for 10-years.
That recommendation is in direct conflict with one last month that said women should only stay on the drug for 5-years.... in part because tamoxifen may slightly increase the risk of uterine cancer.))
