But that leaves more than 300 hostages still inside.
They've been held since Tuesday night-
While food and supplies are making their way inside- there's no sign of when this standoff will end.
The gunmen are demanding the release of jailed comrades and it appears they will not give in.
One Roanoke family is keeping a close eye on the situation.

About five thousand American Electric Power customers in Southwest Roanoke and Roanoke County were without power for a while tonight.
A spokesman for A-E-P says the problem was in a relay at the Mudlick Station.
The power was out from around 8:40 until shortly after ten.
