Worker at Roanoke County's largest employer have been notified of a major lay- off.
A source in Roanoke County government confirms the company is planning to eliminate the women's apparel telemarketing division.
Hanover Direct is also apparently planning to cut the second shift at the distribution warehouse on Hollins Road.
Officials from the company did not respond to requests for more information.

Greg Scribner says this year's late bowl announcement shortened the selling season, but they're happy with the sales totals for the Orange Bowl merchandise.
