From Peru this morning there's word the government is leaning toward
rejecting a key demand by the rebels holding close to 400 hostages in Lima.

A Peruvian radio and T-V station reports that the government has
tentatively decided it will NOT release hundreds of the rebels' jailed
comrades.
The rebels have said they'll kill their hostages unless that demand is met.
The hostage crisis began Tuesday night when the rebels seized
the Japanese ambassador's residence during a diplomatic reception.
One local family is keeping a close eye on the developments in Peru, Jay
Moore explains.

university is instituting a mandatory sexual assault education program for its
athletes.
It's called Sexual Assault Facts and Education or Project SAFE.
Virginia Tech officials began developing the program last year, following

James Crawford.

from leftist rebels that their imprisoned comrades be freed.
The rebels have been holding hundreds of hostages at the Japanese embassy
