Triad International Maintenance Corporation, the company that was overhauling
the Airborne Express cargo plane that crashed Sunday night into a Giles County
mountainside--- is now launching its own investigation.
The plane reportedly had experienced trouble Saturday, forcing pilots to
scrap a test run-- one day before the deadly crash near Narrows.
(----------------)
VO-NAT
SUPER=03-Giles Co./Monday;
A Greensboro television station reports trouble with the hydraulic system
caused the plane to drop a mile in altitude, so pilots turned the plane around
and returned to North Carolina.
Federal officials say the Airborne Express D-C-Eight was 20 minutes into a
maintenance test flight Sunday when it fell into a steep dive.
The pilot reportedly made a distress call just before the crash.
Six people died.
The investigation is scheduled to pick back up tomorrow.

The Tupac Amaru wants to restructure the economy..and its not hard to find
