Officials from the National Transportation Safety Board are considering the possibility that human error caused last month's fatal plane crash in Giles County.
The company that was overhauling the D- C- 8 has all but been cleared of any wrong- doing.
Days after the plane went down, weather related causes were also ruled out.
An N- T- S- B spokesman says the focus of the investigation has now turned to pilot error.
But it could take as long as nine months before officials make a final determination as to the cause of the crash.
The plane was recently purchased by Airborne Express... and a crew of six people were taking it on a "test run" when it went down.
There were no survivors.
