A Roanoke man has been sentenced to five years in prison for attacking two
women in June.
A plea agreement kept Ronnie Lee Howard from facing a more serious charges
of attempted rape.
The 22- year- old pleaded no contest yesterday to holding two women at
knifepoint outside their apartment.
He apparently let them go when they screamed.
Howard also pleaded guilty to breaking into a third woman's apartment.
All three incidents happened in June.

when he was convicted last year.
But yesterday a judge reduced the jury's recommendation to 60- days in jail.

investigations.
The judge also ordered the former South Boston narcotics investigator to pay
the money back and pay court costs.
