State police say the Piper Aerostar was travelling from New York to Atlanta.

The plane was recently purchased by Airborne Express... and a crew of six people were taking it on a "test run" when it went down.
There were no survivors.

A Roanoke man has been sentenced to five years in prison for attacking two women in June.
A plea agreement kept Ronnie Lee Howard from facing a more serious charges of attempted rape.
The 22- year- old pleaded no contest yesterday to holding two women at knifepoint outside their apartment.
He apparently let them go when they screamed.
Howard also pleaded guilty to breaking into a third woman's apartment.
All three incidents happened in June.

A jury recommended a two year sentence for 42- year- old Larry Jerome Stoval when he was convicted last year.
But yesterday a judge reduced the jury's recommendation to 60- days in jail.
Stoval was convicted of taking more than one thousand dollars seized in drug raids as well as misappropriating state police funds used for drug investigations.
The judge also ordered the former South Boston narcotics investigator to pay the money back and pay court costs.
