Cookie maker Nabisco had to call in the big guns when the chips were down.
(----------------)
VO-NAT
SUPER=03-Wadesboro, NC;
Recently a group of North Carolina third graders did a math experiment.
Tedious work but they counted the number of chocolate chips in a bag of
Chips Ahoy cookies.
The students found the counts varied from 340 to 680 chips per package.
That goes against Nabisco's claims of one-thousand chips in every bag.
Not to be out done, the cookie maker sent a food technologist to the class to
show them the PROPER way to count the chips.
She used running running water to wash away the cookie dough.
Her test revealed nearly 12 hundred chips per bag.
