26 passengers and a crew of three were on board the commuter plane that crashed today south of Detroit-- there were no survivors aboard Delta Comair Flight 32-72.
The twin engine turbo-prop had departed Cincinnati and was on approach to Detroit-- when it crashed in a wooded area 25 miles south of the city.

A Henry County woman is in critical condition tonight after she was allegedly shot by her boyfriend with a sawed off shot gun.

It happened inside the "Bassett Superior Lines" plant where they both work.
35-year old Timothy Dexter Walton apparently left his work area shortly before the shooting.
Sheriff's officials say minutes later Walton fired two shots in the direction of 37-year old Susie Penn.
No one else was injured.
Authorities say the incident could have been worse because other employees were also in the room.

It's called "Operation Crackdown"...a bust last night that put a dent in drug trafficking in Bedford County.

Arrest teams from Bedford, Lynchburg, the A-B-C board and the D-E-A hit several areas around the county, making two dozen arrests.

But now Tech officials are seeing green, and it has nothing to do with the grass at Pro-Player Stadium.
If you subtract the one-point-two million dollars in travel expenses, Tech's take-home pay from the Alliance appearance still adds up to a cool two- point-three million.
Officials are still identifying ways to use the money. Most will go into a cash reserve fund, some will go for academic initiatives.

Bowl money is also benefitting other campus sports.
Money from the previous two bowls has allowed Tech to build a new track and soccer complex and women's softball field, all of which are still under construction.
It has also boosted the athletic department's cash reserves.

The Dogs would come back to tie the game when Kevin Martin drives to the hoop for the easy score.
The Highlanders then went on a 9 to nothing run that started with Eric Parker. He takes the rock inside and goes up hard to the iron and adds two more to the stat sheet.
