bag their regular schedule for a long weekend.

crashed today south of Detroit-- there were no survivors aboard Delta Comair

An F-A-A spokesman says the pilot on ComAir Flight 32-72 said nothing to
air traffic controllers to indicate there was a problem.
A Henry County woman is in critical condition tonight after she was
allegedly shot by her boyfriend with a sawed off shot gun.
It happened inside the "Bassett Superior Lines" plant where they both work.
35-year old Timothy Dexter Walton apparently left his work area shortly
before the shooting.
Sheriff's officials say minutes later Walton fired two shots in the
direction of 37-year old Susie Penn.
No one else was injured.
Authorities say the incident could have been worse because other employees
were also in the room.

It's called "Operation Crackdown"...a bust last night that put a dent in drug
trafficking in Bedford County.

The roundup was the culmination of six months of undercover work targeting
the county's middle and upper-level drug dealers.
Arrest teams from Bedford, Lynchburg, the A-B-C board and the D-E-A hit
several areas around the county, making two dozen arrests.
Sheriff Mike Brown says the drug problem extends beyond the county lines.

The driver of a tractor trailer that plunged over an embankment near Radford

Radford played without leading scorer Anthony Walker tonight, who was back
home in Columbus, Ohio to attend his fathers funeral. Without him, the
Highlanders fell to UNC-Asheville in RU's Big South opener at the Demon Center

Radford came out of the blocks quick. Big Eric Bowens, he's a DJ and can

The Dogs would come back to tie the game when Kevin Martin drives to the
