The investigation is just beginning into the deadly crash of a commuter
plane outside Detroit.
All 29 people on board the Comair flight were killed. The twin-engine plane
was on its way from Cincinnati to Detroit- It went down in a snowstorm just
before dusk.

A town meeting in Boulder Colorado tonight focuses on the murder of six
year old.
Police are answering questions on the death of JanBonet Ramsey. Police
today also revealed a 911 call was made from the family home days before the

Two people were injured tonight after an accident on an icy bridge.

The crash happened just before nine on Route 419 in Salem.
The driver skidded across the median and over a 50 foot embankment after
apparently hitting a patch of ice.
The car landed just short of the railroad tracks underneath the overpass.
Both the driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital where their
injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A commuter plane trying to land in a snowstorm nosedived into a field-
killing 29 people.
The ComAir plane was on its way from Cincinnati to Detroit- when it crashed
in a Michigan field.

(( THE EMBRAER 1-20 Twin-engine commuter plane crashed near the town of Ida,
Michigan...south of Detroit.
It was apparently trying to land during a snowstorm.
The accident shortly before dusk killed all of the 26 passengers and 3 crew
members on board.
Witnesses said the plane slammed into the ground and broke into
pieces...strewing wreckage across the field.

Emergency workers arrived and started looking for survivors.
Reports so far have shown the pilot gave no sign of trouble during landing
preparations for detroit metro airport.
The National Transportation Safety Board...the N-T-S-B...has an
investigative team on the way to the scene.

A shooting at a Henry County furniture company leaves a woman in critical
condition- her boyfriend behind bars.

Authorities have charged 35-year old Timothy Dexter Walton with shooting his
girlfriend this morning inside the "Bassett Superior Lines" plant.
Investigators say Walton apparently left his work station, pulled out a
sawed off shotgun, and fired at least two shots in the direction of his
girlfriend.
37-year old Susie Penn is in critical condition after surgery today.
Other employees were in the room at the time, but no one else was injured.

That's something Buena Vista residents know all too well.

It's a new track and soccer complex and a women's softball field, which
money from the 1995 Sugar Bowl and 1994 Gator Bowl are funding.
That money has also helped in the ACADEMIC arena, as will the 1996 Orange
Bowl payout.
