Police have exonerated two Dallas Cowboys of sexual assault.
Police say the woman who accused Cowboys star Erik Williams of sexually
assaulting her while teammate Michael Irvin videotaped lied.

The 23-year old woman said in an affidavit that Willaims, Irvin and an
unidentified third person assaulted her at Williams' home on December 29th.
Spencer says police are considering charging the woman with filing a false
A missing person in Pittsylvania County has been found dead.
Family members contacted the Sheriff's Department around midnight after
73-year old Henry Thomas Parrish apparently walked away from home.
Around noon the mans's body was spotted from a helicopter about a mile from
his Stony Mill Home.
Family members say Parrish suffered from Alzheimer's disease.

Authorities do NOT suspect foul play, but Parrish's body will be examined to
determine the exact cause of death.
Police tonight are using infra-red equipment to try and locate a woman
missing in a South Dakota Snowstorm.
The woman's pickup ran out of gas yesterday- Blowing snow and bitter cold
make it dangerous to get out.
She's been in contact with emergency officials on her cell phone but crews
have been unable to locate her.
The woman has blankets and a sleeping bag but no food.
Wind chills could fall to 70 below zero tonight.
Many roads are closed in both North and South Dakota. Authorities have
advised people not to go out.
Investigators say they've
found the flight recorders from a ComAir commuter plane that crashed yesterday.
They're now on their way to Washington for analysis.
Byron Harlan reports has the latest from Michigan where frigid weather is

National Transportation and Safety Board officials say frigid temperatures
prevent rescuers from searching for more than 20 minutes at a time.
A number of expert teams are on scene to investigate what might have
caused the crash including the weather. The manufacturing of the plane or one
of its parts and also the pilots performance. Hammerschmidt says it appearsthg
captain had a stellar record:

One of the victims in last night's crash had a connection to last month's
cargo plane crash in Giles County.
37-year old Maureen DeMarco lost her brother in the Airborne Express

In fact she was going to his funeral when the Comair plane she was on
crashed last night.
DeMarco's husband spoke of his mother in law- saying she is devasted.

Another plane crash- This one today- A U-S Air commuter went down in
The U-S Air Express Plane had just taken off for Boston-
It climbed about 4 hundred feet when it crashed onto the runway.
Two of the eleven people on board were hurt.
Fire fighters in Bedford County are still investigating an afternoon blaze
that leveled a mobile home near Montvale.
Four people were inside this trailer when the fire broke out.
Everyone escaped without injury... but the home is a total loss.
Officials believe the blaze started in the kitchen... but at this point
they're not sure caused it.
The victims are staying with relatives until they can find a new home.
This week's drug raid in Bedford County attracted a lot of attention, but
it's the kind one community would rather do without.

Gun-toting SWAT teams swooped down on the neighborhood known as "The Ridge"
Wednesday night, making arrests and seizing drugs.
But residents of the community just outside Moneta say a few bad apples are
giving them all a bad rap.

have helped build and renovate.

The judge today also cleared the way for Simpson to testify about Nicole's
alleged drug use and sexual history.
But the defense can't use the testimony to suggest somebody other than
Simpson was the killer.
Charges are now dropped against Dr. Jack Kevorkian.
The New Oakland County Prosecutor has dropped ten assisted suicide cases
against Kevorkian- saying it's a waste of taxpayers money.
The outgoing prosecutor Richard Thompson lost two cases against Kevorkian
before he was
voted out of office last year.
A majority of Virginians told pollsters Governor George Allen should accept
federal Goals 2000 money.
A majority of school boards in Virginia agreed.
Today, the Governor relented.
The Governor waited until lawmakers left town for the weekend to announce he
will now apply for federal Goals-2000 funds.

A Danville teen charged with murder will face a grand jury.
18-year old Percy Levar Walton was arrested Thanksgiving Day after police
found Archie Moore's body stuffed inside a closet at Moore's Cabin Lake
Police say Moore had been shot in the head.
Investigators who testified at Walton's preliminary hearing said witnesses
provided their initial lead.
Authorities say Walton was spotted driving the victim's car around the time
of the murder.
When police searched the teens bedroom they found keys fitting Moore's
apartment and car along with other evidence.

The bodies of an elderly Danville couple were discovered in a nearby
apartment the same week Moore was killed.
Police have not ruled out a possible connection between the two cases.
Campbell County residents who need emergency help can still let their

the county has finally switched over to 9-1-1 service.
