Danville police are investigating the city's first murder of the year.

It happened shortly after eleven last night in the 500- block of Keen
Street.
Authorities say 40- year old Johnny Alphonso Motley of Danville was shot
multiple times in the back.
Police discovered the body lying on the street after hearing gunshots in the
area.
Authorities do not have any suspects, but are attempting to question
witnesses who were in the area.
Police are awaiting results of an autopsy to determine how many times Motley
had been shot.

dogs and cats says the vet records prove she's a good owner.
County officials seized more than a hundred dogs and cats from Valery
Green's home January third.

Thursday night, a city council committee recommended building a new nine-
million dollar school.
