Police say 20-year-old Daniel Kelly of Maryland was walking down Southgate Drive on Tech's campus with his girlfriend shortly before ten last night.

Kelly was pronounced dead at Montgomery Regional Hospital shortly after the accident.
His girlfriend was not seriously injured.
Her name is not being released.
Funeral services for Kelly will be held in Maryland.
The Newman Catholic Ministry is planning a memorial service on campus sometime this week.

Mentavlos says the school broke it's promise to keep her safe.
Messer says she knows she's not welcome.
The hazing charges are being investigated.
Two other female cadets who have not made hazing accusations are expected to return to campus.

However, he did confirm that there have been some discussions with the union about possible layoffs.
He didn't know how long it would take for some agreement to be reached.

Bedford County Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that has left a family homeless.

The blaze broke out shortly after six last night at the Hardy Road Trailer Park.
The fire was out of control when fire fighters arrived.
The cold temperature caused one of the water pumpers to freeze making it difficult to get water to the blaze.
Everything Teresa Clemmer and her two children owned was destroyed in the fire.
No one was home when the blaze broke out.
The fire is still under investigation, but officials it does not appear to be suspicious.

A bitter cold day as the Packers and Panthers kicked off at Lambeau Field.
Favre drops back to pass its picked off by Carolina's Sam Mills who returns it to the Packer three yard line early in the first quarter.
Several plays later Kerry Collins hits a wide open Howard Griffith and the Panthers took the quick 7 to nothing lead.
But Favre settled down. Early in the second quarter he hooks up with Dorsey Levins on this 29 yard touchdown pass and the game was tied at 7 to 7 with 14 minutes left in the period.
Green Bay trailed 10 to 7 when Favre goes to the air again this time he hits former Tech star Antonio Freeman on this 6 yard T-D pass to make it 14 to 10.

Bay/30/Carolina/13/;third then Favre hands off to Edgar Bennett who scores from the four yard line and the Packers beat the Panthers 30 to 13.
