Now an employee who says he's familiar with the situation at the drive systems plant- believes soon after workers get back on the job, there will be about 188 layoffs.
General Electric admits "the production workload situation is more serious than in years past" but emphasizes it "doesn't have an announcement to make at this time", and it continues to meet with union leaders.

A Carroll County teenager says his father put him through hell--that's why he shot and killed him and paralyzed his step mother.
Today he asked the judge for leniency.
18 year- old Chris Gammon was 16 at the time of the offense. During tearful testimony today, he said his father beat him and sexually abused him for most of his life.
He says he and his older half- brother Willie Gammon decided to pack their bags and leave their dad's home, but their efforts to hot- wire a car failed.
Chris says Willie then pulled a gun and said they'd have to kill Gary and Rebecca Gammon when the couple returned home.
Chris says he didn't want to-- but was afraid Willie would shoot him.

Doctors have discovered that people who take the antibiotic erythromycin with Seldane could suffer heart rhythm problems-- as could patients with liver disease taking a certain anti-fungal agent.

When Seldane was introduced, it was the first drug to relieve the sneezing, watery eyes, and runny nose of allergies without drowsiness.

He was arrested and charged with trespassing and resisting arrest on April 13th of last year.
He was originally convicted of the misdemeanors and given two suspended 30 day sentences.
The judge says a number of quality character witnesses and the inability of the police to corroborate their stories led to the acquittal.
