Police say 20- year- old Daniel Kelly of Maryland was walking down Southgate Drive on Tech's campus with his girlfriend Saturday night when he was hit by a car.

Her name is not being released.

However, he did confirm that there have been some discussions with the union about the production workload...
And with the current workload situation, the possibility of layoffs exists.
He said G-E is assessing the situation, and did not know how long that assessment will take.
