Authorities are releasing few details about the juvenile charged with killing a Franklin County probation officer.
Pittsylvania County authorities secured the warrant today for the murder of 55-year old Bernard Rosser.

Murder trial number "two" for convicted killer James Henry Burley is underway in Amherst County.

Willie Gammon pled guilty to shooting his father, but told a probation officer he fired AFTER his dad pulled a gun first.
In an earlier statement to police, Gammon admitted planning Gary Gammon's murder for two hours.
That's consistent with the testimony yesterday of his 18 year-old half brother Chris Gammon, who also pled guilty.
The brothers killed their father and shot their stepmother, Rebecca Gammon in October of 1994.
The judge is expected to sentence them tomorrow.

The Lady Raiders would comeback with Katherine Kelly tallying a hoop inside as they tried to shrink the lead into single digits.
But this night would belong to the home team and in particular Guthrie, who hits the 1000 point mark midway through the second quarter.

Valley/62/Guthrie Has 1015 Pts; from coach Bobby Dixon and a hug from her parents to commemorate the evening.
The defending Blue Ridge Conference champs beat North Cross 62-to-38.

It looked like a scene out of the TV show Northern Exposure- but this moose sighting was for real.

A moose and her calf wandered across a busy Spokane highway---several times

this afternoon.
The animals brought traffic to a standstill. Motorists simply stopped their cars and waited for the two to cross.
Officials believe the moose have made their home in the woods near the highway and were out for a stroll.
