A grade schooler reportedly has been charged with murder in Pittsylvania
Today's Roanoke Times says an eight- year- old boy is charged with the
beating death of his stepfather, a Franklin County probation officer.
Bernard Rosser was discovered dead at his home in Pittsylvania County in
mid-December when he did not report to work.
Authorities say the 55- year- old died from a blow to the head.
Another bomb scare at the United Nations in New York.
A U-N spokesman says a police bomb squad was called to the U-N complex today
after a suspicious package turned up.
Four letter bombs were found there Monday, addressed to an Arabic-language

Willie Gammon pleaded guilty to shooting Gary Gammon, but told a probation
officer he fired AFTER his dad pulled a gun on HIM.
In an earlier statement to police, Gammon admitted planning his father's
murder for two hours.

brother Chris Gammon, who also pleaded guilty.
The brothers killed their father and shot their stepmother, Rebecca Gammon
in October of 19-94.
The Space Shuttle Atlantis and the Russian Space station MIR docked late
