killing his step-father in Pittsylvania County.

Mink sentenced Chris and Willie Gammon to 48 years each for murdering their
father and shooting their step-mother.
During their three-day sentencing hearing, Chris, Willie, and a string of
family members told horror stories of violence and abuse on the part of their

The brothers' lawyers begged for leniency.
They could have gotten up to three life terms in prison.

a car and led police on a chase.

The 15- year- old drove the car over a curb and then backed into the police
cruiser.
A short chase ended when the teen crashed the stolen vehicle into a parked
