a man who allegedly threatened the officer.

It happened last night.
Deputies pulled David Roy Craighead over at Clarence's Steak House in
Ridgeway. They wanted to question him about damage to an apartment.
But Sheriff Frank Cassell says the 35-year old jumped out of the car and ran
behind the restaurant.
When the officers approached Craighead he reportedly refused to drop the
tire iron he was carrying.
Cassell says one of the deputies sprayed Craighead with pepper spray but he
would not surrender.
Cassell says he continued to move toward the deputies and Corporal Jay
Engstrom fired his gun more than once.
