A drug sweep in Wythe County today wrapped up a year-long undercover operation.
Authorities are arresting about 35 people who face more than 50 indictments.
The charges involve possession and distribution of drugs including crack, L-S-D, cocaine and meth-amphetamine.
Sheriff Wayne Pike expects the investigation to result in FEDERAL indictments against some people involved in heavy drug trafficking.

He arrested Gary Gibson, who was charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.
During the arrest Gibson received a cut on his face requiring 9 stitches.

Their 16 year-old sister got out safely.
