Danville police are investigating the murder of a 19- year- old Pennsylvania
Police responded to a call on Ferry Road last night.
They found Derrick Levar Crawford lying just inside an apartment with a
single gunshot to the chest.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Jury deliberations could begin tonight at the O-J Simpson civil trial.

In southern Florida, a helicopter crash has killed four people.

An undercover investigation in Wythe County turned up a range of drugs, from
crack to L-S-D.
The year-long operation wrapped up yesterday as police began arresting about

The investigation was carried out with a 60 thousand dollar state grant,
which was recently renewed for another year.
Fire destroyed a mobile home in Bedford County this morning.
The fire broke out about 10 o'clock in the Hardy section of the county.
Owner Robert Bryant says he heard his dogs barking, saw flames coming from
the building and called the fire department.
Bryant was renovating the trailer and was using it primarily for storage.
No one was hurt.
A-B-C says it will appeal a five and a-half million dollar punitive damages
award to Food lion.
The case involved a "Prime Time Live" report that used undercover workers
with hidden cameras.
It alleged that Food Lion knowingly sold spoiled meat.
The trial did not address the truthfulness of the A-B-C report.
Jurors found the network only committed fraud.
A professor at Washington and Lee was called upon to testify at the trial.
Lou Hodges specializes in journalism ethics.
He says undercover work should be used with caution, but in this case it
served the public interest.
