the Cosbys' son Ennis, who was murdered almost two weeks ago.

The Senate did give its final approval to a bill that would retire the state
song.
Senators Steve Newman of Lynchburg and Louise Lucas, who represents Halifax
County, are pushing the compromise.
It would gracefully retire "Carry Me Back To Old Virginia" as the "state
song emeritus."
If the House and Governor approve, a commission would then look for a new
state song... that would presumably offend fewer Virginians.
There is, however, a competing bill in the House.
It would make a composition by singer and sausage king Jimmy Dean and his
wife Donna the new state song.

A new housing study suggests that Danville and Charlottesville are two of
the least segregated cities in America.
The study by a researcher at the University of Michigan used 1990 census
data, and analyzed the racial patterns in residential neighborhoods.
Gary, Indiana was the most segregated city. Danville and Charlottesville
were 14th and 15th on the list of least segregated cities.

Known as G-S 41- 04, the pill apparently works on animals, but clinical

His condition was revealed in a court document at his money laundering trial
in Asheville, North Carolina.
Hendrick's attorneys are asking the trial be moved to Charlotte where he is
undergoing treatment for the disease.
Hendrick drivers Jeff Gordon and Terry Labonte have won the last two Winston
Cup stock car championships.
