Closing arguments ended this afternoon, with a plaintiff's lawyer
ridiculing defense claims that evidence in the case was contaminated.
The jury is set to receive instructions in the case-- after returning from
a lunch recess.
Before the trial resumed today, there was an unexplained two-hour delay,
and two jurors were taken to a separate, empty courtroom.
Neither was dismissed.

We tend to think of hardening of the arteries as an old person's disease.
But a new study from the National Institutes of Health finds the seeds of
athero-sclerosis are really sewn in childhood.
In the first study of it's kind, the researchers examined the autopsy
results of 15-hundred young adults, all who died from accidents, homicides or
suicide.
(----------------)
VO-NAT
They found that the earliest signs of athero-sclerosis appear by age 15.
Those who have low levels of H-D-L-- what we call the good cholesterol,
and high levels of l-d-l-- the so-called bad cholesterol plus those who
smoked-- already showed signs of cardiovascular disease.
So the bottom line here is that prevention can't wait until you're an
adult-- and really should start in childhood.
