Frank (Helv-uh-STEEN) Helvestine says he was an accessory BEFORE the fact in a fatal car bombing 21-years ago in Roanoke County.
The explosion killed 23- month old Carrie Mask, who was walking nearby with her parents.
Helvestine's attorney says his client didn't intend for anyone to be hurt.
He's charged with murder, arson and malicious wounding.
18-year old Robert Reed pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Roanoke...the Michigan man was charged with the July murder of Michael Dent who was stabbed to death at the Hurt Park Apartment Complex.
Since Reed entered a plea to a lesser charge he faces a maximum prison term of ten years.
In Carroll County-- a judge dismissed murder charges against Charles Howard who spent the last four months in jail.
He was charged after he allegedly told his sister Willie Goins cursed him, so he stabbed him to death out of anger.
But on the witness stand, Scotty Austin said she wasn't clear what her brother had said.

Dolph says the arsenal will respond to the safety concerns by providing extra break periods and seeking volunteers from other areas of the plant.
This month the arsenal recalled about 75 laid- off workers.

Walker wasn't alone in her gripes. since offering unlimited online-time for 19.95 a month, a-o-l has been swamped with complaints, accused of signing up hundreds of thousands of new users without the means to accomodate them.
Today, under threats of lawsuits, the nation's largest online service agreed to reimburse customers for their inability to log-on. JAMES RYAN, ILLINOIS ATTORNEY GENERAL: WE BELIEVE THE AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPAL IS FAIR, IT PROTECTS CONSUMERS WHILE ALLOWING AMERICA ONLINE TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE A POPULAR SERVICE TO MILLIONS OF SUBSCRIBERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
The settlement with 37 attorneys general will offer AOL subscribers up to two months credit, all based on their previous time on-line.
AOL has also agreed to add a disclaimer to its advertisements, saying many customers are having trouble signing on.
And the company has also agreed to make it easier for people to cancel their subscriptions.

He also should have given Regis a few passing tips. The two went out on the streets of New York, and Regis sent Antonio out for a pass and tried to hit hit with the bomb.
