The reality of what happened apparently set in quickly for 19- year old year
old Rashawn Crawford of Roxboro, North Carolina.
Witnesses say Crawford's infant son was seriously hurt when the top of the
Mitsubishi Mirage apparently struck the infant's skull.
Authorities from Person County, North Carolina had been chasing Crawford for
about 30- miles when he crashed in Halifax County around four- o'clock.
Sheriff's officials say Crawford's sister and another child were also in the
car.
Carrie Slayton was one of the first who tried to help.
