Two arrests came last night after agents cordoned off two neighborhoods and

In all last week, there were three bombs found in Valljeo- one outside a
bank, dynamite found near a library and another device blew a hole in the

Wythe County authorities say they've kept a van-load of marijuana off the
streets of Richmond.
That's where two men from Texas were headed when a sheriff's deputy pulled
them over on Interstate 81 yesterday.
The officer suspected a drunk driver when he stopped the vehicle.
When the two men inside gave conflicting stories, he called for a
drug-sniffing dog to search the van.
The search turned up about 40 pounds of pot, packaged in dryer sheets,
plastic wrap and moth balls.

The suspects face various state and federal drug and weapons charges.
They're each being held on 50 thousand dollars bond.

The Alleghany Highlands drug task force was on the street in Clifton Forge
Officers rounded up 14 suspected drug dealers, charged in indictments handed
down by the Grand Jury today.
Three suspects were also arrested in Covington.
Officials say the suspects were street level dealers.
Most of the charges involved the sale of crack cocaine.
Some residents of the Garden City neighborhood could be moving out of
harm's way within six months.
Today, Roanoke City Council approved a voluntary buy-out that will purchase
more than 40 properties and remove them from the flood plain.
Heavy rain brought high water and major damage to the southeast Roanoke
neighborhood on June 28th, 1995.
More than two million dollars of federal, state and local funds will allow
the city to buy and demolish structures that are prone to flood damage.

A Danville middle school is counting on school spirit to raise student test
This morning, sixth graders at Taylor Middle school were treated to a
