crash that killed a Vinton man last year.

gear led to the crash of two helicopters during a training exercise.
14 people were killed, including Britt Stacey of Vinton.

The marine's night vision goggles are made by ITT in Roanoke, and Litton
Industries in Arizona.
An ITT spokesperson says the company doesn't know who made the goggles
involved in the crash.

build more than 100 low- income homes over the next three years.

A 750- thousand dollar grant Habitat received last year is providing the
startup money for the new "Jubilee Heights" subdivision.
The original plans called for 108 homes to be built on the site off Florida
Avenue, but the zoning appeals board said that was too many.
After months of negotiations, Habitat offered to reduce the number of houses
to 75, but learned today its grant requires at least 88 be built.
Habitat officials hope that new figure is still acceptable to the city.
