It took 13 hours over three days, but in the end it was a unanimous
(you-NAN-i-mus) decision.
Last night the jury in the O-J Simpson civil trial found Simpson responsible
for the slashing death of Ron Goldman and for battering his ex-wife Nicole
Simpson.
But the job is not over for the jury.
Panel members will be back at work tomorrow to begin considering punitive
damages.
They've decided Simpson has to pay the Goldman family eight and a half
million dollars in compensatory damages.

The eight- year- old Pittsylvania County boy charged with killing his
stepfather is being released a from detention center.
The child's attorney won't confirm where the child is being taken but
reports indicate the boy is being admitted to Virginia Baptist Hospital in
Lynchburg.
The boy has been held in a Danville juvenile facility since he was charged
last month with killing his 55- year- old stepfather.
