erase its red ink within the next 2 years, everyone at Yokohama's Salem plant will be out of a job.
That poses a potentially disastrous situation for more than 900 workers.
But it could also mean big problems for the city itself.

More than 15 percent of the plant's entire workforce has been affected, all of them hourly employees.

The company had threatened to close part of the Bedford plant if the contract wasn't accepted.

35- year- old Walter Wayne Pugh entered an Alford plea. That means he doesn't admit taking indecent liberties with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor... but concedes the evidence is strong enough to convict him.
Both sides said they were happy to avoid taking the case to trial.
