Today, Linda is the Music Director at WDBZ-FM in New York City. In a market where radio stations change music formats, announcers, even call letters at the drop of a ratings point, the Music Director has to be more than just another pretty voice. ((LINDA SILVER: I CREATE MUSIC LOGS, I DEAL WITH THE JOCKS, I SCHEDULE JOCKS, I INTERVIEW JOCKS, AND I HAVE THE LOVELY DUTY OF WHEN THEY SCREW UP, TO HAVE TO "DISCUSS" IT WITH THEM.))
As for the future -- Linda would like to move to another previously all- male part of a radio station. ((LINDA SILVER: AND EVENTUALLY, I'D LIKE TO BE A GENERAL MANAGER.
