Todd Biles is president of 5B's-- the Ohio based company that's moving into
Beaver Creek Industrial park.
Biles says the jobs will be labor intensive-- paying an average of 7- to
eight dollars an hour.

Roanoke is among the finalists courting a major industrial prospect.

Keith sources tell News-7 that the company is a manufacturer that is looking
to put a major operation in the city, one that will employ about 170 people.

Higher ups from the company were seen touring a 22- acre site in Roanoke's
Center for Industry and Technology, which is off route 460 in the northeastern
section of Roanoke.
Accompanying them was Roanoke's economic development chief, one of his
assistants, and the executive director of the Roanoke Valley Economic
In all, about a dozen people were checking out the land, some of the last
space available in the business park.
Keith the Center for Industry and Technology already houses a number of
major league employers in our area, like Vitramon, Advance Auto, and Orvis.

employee actually went on to say she'd gone to the boss who told her to throw

Montgomery County's new administrator is coming home to the New River
The board of supervisors today announced it has hired Jeff Johnson, a Giles
County native and former Craig County administrator.

Johnson has held the same position in Nelson County, and today announced his
resignation from Brunswick County, where he currently serves as administrator.
Johnson succeeds Betty Thomas, who is retiring from Montgomery County at the
end of March after 24 years with the county.

After WROV, Linda moved to K-92. She says once she was accepted, she had a

Today, Linda is the Music Director at WDBZ-FM in New York City. In a market
where radio stations change music formats, announcers, even call letters at the
drop of a ratings point, the Music Director has to be more than just another
