Coach Don Thompson says senior Shannon Jennings will fill Jackson's shoes
when the team goes up against G-W Danville again, tonight.
19- year old Jackson, who also played football, was arrested early Saturday
inside a Riverdale motel room by deputies investigating a noise complaint.
Two football players were also taken into custody.
Cedric Jacobs, number 25- for the team, and number 3- Michael Chappell, were
also charged with possession of marijuana.

Roanoke County Police say Ronnie Brooks should be in court this week in
connection with the shooting death of a 26-year old woman earlier this month.

Brooks is charged with first degree murder and is in the county jail without
He's accused of killing Lisa Sizemore earlier this month, a woman identified
as his ex-girlfriend.
Brooks was recently transferred from Roanoke Memorial Hospital to the jail.

William Gray Stanley also known as "Dee" was arrested last night... accused
of shooting his son.
SCOTT Stanley suffered multiple gun shot wounds and is now in the intensive
care unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital... in critical condition.
The shooting happened at around seven last night at the family's home off
Route 40 near Rocky Mount.
Dee Stanley was charged with malicious wounding and is being held in the
Franklin County Jail.
Just a few weeks ago he was arrested and charged with transporting illegal
liquor in Charlottesville.
One expert says it appears 6 year old JonBenet Ramsey was a victim of
chronic sex abuse.
A Pennsylvania coroner says that's his conclusion after seeing what's been
released of the girl's autopsy.
Dr. (Sear-ul Weck) ) Cryil Wecht says the autopsy showed Ramsey had previous
injuries she probably could not have done to herself.
Meanwhile Boulder police are wrapping up interviews in Georgia. They talked
with relatives and friends of the Ramsey's

In Richmond, the House of Delegates today approved a bill to make it a
"primary offense" to let kids rattle around in the back seat unstrained by a

The bill would not apply to the back of station wagons, sport utility

A rough landing at Newark International Airport-
Officials say the nose gear collapsed on the Continental Jet as it touched
down this afternoon.
Flight 134 from Denver was about halfway down the runway when it happened.

She's now in remission.
But besides helping her physical rehabilitation, Kristin says Carilion's
new Child Life Program has been crucial to her emotional well- being.

Residents of Highland County fear an Air Force proposal will shatter the

Tonight, Keith Humphry has more on the plan for a 30- fold increase in low-
level training flights.
