A murder- suicide in Smyth County killed three people and injured another early this morning.
Police say 26- year- old Eric Shazier (SHAY-zer) shot his girlfriend and their 21- month old son, before turning the gun on himself.

It's been more than a week since a Roanoke County man is alleged to have shot and killed his ex-girlfriend when she came to his home to pick up her things.

Now authorities say 32- year- old Ronnie Brooks will be arraigned this week on a charge of first- degree murder.
Brooks is accused of fatally shooting Lisa Sizemore outside his home in the northeast section of the county.

Now he's being held in the county jail, without bond.

Zack uses a playroom environment to help children with illnesses interact with each other, and forget about being sick.
