The punishment at George Wythe High School is generating more controversy in the community.
The parents of at least four white students are now asking the school board to overturn the punishment.

But black parents contend the suspensions are too lenient.
Earlier this week, members of the group, Concerned Citizens Network, complained that black students have been subjected to repeated slurs and other racial incidents.
