Some Roanoke College students are in trouble for allegedly taking part in a hazing ceremony.
This morning Roanoke County police arrested 13 students and four former students on various charges, after an incident at Carvins Cove.
Officers found four students, blindfolded, lying face down in four to six inches of water.
The police were told this was part of an exercise in bonding and learning to trust each other.
No one was hurt.
All 17 people were charged with trespassing, ten with hazing and four with being drunk in public.
College officials are investigating, for possible violations of the student conduct code.

He shipped thousands of kilos of coke at a time. Cruz actually worked for Rivera.

A body was in the driver's seat of the two-door hatchback.
The sheriff says the fire appeared to have been set; there was a five-gallon tank of gas in the car.
An autopsy was scheduled for today but the results have not been released.

The man pointed a handgun at him.
While the customer struggled to escape, the gun went off.
The gunman came out of the bathroom waving the weapon.
He fled through the drive- up window.
Police say no one was hurt and no money was taken.
The man with the handgun hasn't been found.

A few weeks ago, VDOT supplied the Board of Supervisors with a plan to save the structure.

But County Administrator Jerry Burgess says VDOT has agreed to drop the Iron Gate stipulation.
The board is expected to vote on the proposal next month.
