For the second time in six months, police have arrested a 74 year old Christiansburg man for distributing drugs.

It was last August that authorities seized crack cocaine and guns from the home of William Bernice Smith and his wife Josephine, who has since died.
At that time, police said they were eliminating a major crack source in the New River Valley.

They arrested him again yesterday, and seized more crack, marijuana and cash.

21 year- old Teddy Roe Dixon was out on bond for kidnapping charges in North Carolina.
Now he's facing charges of murder and grand larceny in Carroll County.
Dixon is accused in the shooting and stabbing death of his roommate, 50 year- old William Charles Epperson.
Sheriffs deputies found Epperson dead in the home the men shared in Cana.
A witness reported seeing Dixon driving Epperson's truck.
Police in Mount Airy, North Carolina stopped the truck and arrested Dixon.
Authorities have not determined the motive for the killing.

A nagging injury is also ruining George Lynch's first season with the Vancouver Grizzlies.
George has been on the injured reserve list since January 20th with a strained abdominal muscle.
Team officials said today it likely will be two more weeks before he returns to the court.

The Roanoke Rush announced this afternoon that Duke Strager is coming back next season as the team's head coach.
Strager led the team to a 12-and-2 record last season.
He likely will not have one of his best players next year. Fullback Billy Pate was hit by car last week in Princeton and is lucky to be alive.
He suffered multiple injuries and is still in serious but stable condition.
