Jake--well acted by Jim Galloway--is having trouble with the women in his life. He continually has conversations with them in his head.
His wife Julie--Susan Widdowson--died and he still misses her, so he conjures her up.
He and his current wife--Maggie,Lynn Walshe--are having problems, she's fed up, and he isn't sure how he feels.
His daughter Molly--both as a youngster and as a college student--come back in his mind to comfort him.
All performances are very well done. The play, "Jake's Women" is one of Simon's more personal and poignant ones.
Directed by Miriam Holland--it continues through Sunday at the Showtimers Studio on McVitty Road.

Lynchburg firefighters are still on the scene of a blaze that gutted an empty store this morning.

At about 6 a-m, crews were called to this location on Campbell Avenue where a passerby had reported seeing flames coming from the rear of the building.
The blaze spread quickly, forcing firefigthers to back out of the building and attack it from the outside.
It took them a half hour to bring it under control.

Botetourt County officials say the deal is better-- but they're still not COMPLETELY satisfied with a V-DOT proposal to save the Eagle Rock Bridge.

If the Board of Supervisors agrees on the new plan, the county would NOT be forced to fund repairs to an additional bridge in Iron Gate-- which had been one of the stipulations of the original V-DOT proposal.
One aspect has not changed, however.
V-DOT is still asking the county to put up at least one and a quarter million dollars to fix the Eagle Rock Bridge.
But that figure could turn out to be much higher, depending on state funds.

An alleged hazing incident has some Roanoke College students in hot water with police.
Yesterday Roanoke County police arrested 13 students and four former students on various charges, after an incident at Carvins Cove.
Officers found four students, blindfolded, lying face down in four to six inches of water.
The police were told this was part of an exercise in bonding and learning to trust each other.
No one was hurt.
All 17 people were charged with trespassing, ten with hazing and four with being drunk in public.
College officials are investigating.
