A Danville woman is hospitalized after she was repeatedly stabbed tonight.

It happened around 6:30 at a house on Winslow Street.
Danville police say 39 year old Brenda Williams was stabbed approximately
six times with a steak knife in the neck, face and shoulders.
Police say Williams and another woman apparently got into a fight shortly
before Williams was stabbed.
Police are questioning a suspect but so far no charges have been filed.

As a result of that announcement one more male cadet has been dismissed and
nine others face additional discipline in connection with the hazing and
harrassment of these two female cadets.
In sworn depositions Jeanie Mentavlos and Kim Messer complained their clothes
were set on fire, cleaning solutions was put on their heads and they were
kicked and shoved while in a closet, all by male cadets.
Two of those cadets have already been expelled, another never returned to
class. All tolled, fifteen cadets were involved, only one was exonerated.
Two of the four female cadets have stayed on here with no reported problems.
School officials admit they made mistakes and that assimilating women into the
cadet corps. is far from easy. Fellow cadets agree but say the school's
integrity will remain.

But Virginia Tech's Insect Identification Lab has been flooded with calls
from people who are bothered.
The experts say the best defense against the ladybugs is a vacuum cleaner.
